Young Swords

Espadinhas
Ages 5–8

This is where kids fall in love with the sport. Ages 5 to 8 learn genuine jiu jitsu technique alongside the lessons that matter most: how to focus, how to lose and try again, and how to stand up for themselves and others.

It’s structured and challenging, but never harsh. Coaches know every kid by name, and parents consistently tell us the discipline shows up at home and at school.

Questions

Good To Know

My child has a lot of energy. Will this help?

It’s ideal. Jiu jitsu channels big energy into focus and skill, and they sleep great afterward.

Is there any striking?

No. Kids’ jiu jitsu is grappling only, built around control and respect. No punching or kicking.

What if my child is nervous?

Completely normal. Coaches ease first-timers in, and teammates are quick to make them feel at home.
