Homeschool days need rhythm and real physical outlets, and The Breastplate delivers both. Meeting during daytime hours, it gives homeschooled kids ages 3 to 15 structured jiu jitsu, genuine PE, and a community of families who get it.
It’s more than exercise. Kids build discipline, focus, and friendships, while parents get a dependable, values-aligned anchor in the middle of the week.
Daytime hours mean it fits your week instead of fighting it.
Strength, coordination, and movement, the PE block, handled.
A consistent, coach-led rhythm that supports the habits you’re building at home.
Homeschool families training together, on and off the mat.
Arrive a few minutes early, we’ll welcome your family and lend a gi.
Group warm-up appropriate to the mixed ages in the room.
Age-scaled technique instruction and games.
Supervised drilling with teammates, and time to connect with other parents.
Homeschooled kids ages 3–15 and their families. This is a homeschool-only class: it covers the Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning hour and does not include the afternoon Young Swords or Armor Bearers classes. Mixed ages are welcome, and placement may shift slightly depending on a child’s height and weight so everyone trains safely.
The Breastplate meets 10:15–11:00am on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. See the weekly schedule for the full picture.
“From baby jiu jitsu to the homeschool classes, the whole family fits here. Exactly what our days were missing.”
Yes. That’s the design. Coaches scale instruction so a 5-year-old and a 13-year-old both get exactly what they need.
Many families use it as their PE block. It’s real, structured physical education with measurable progress.
You’re welcome to stay, many parents do, and it’s become a real community hub for homeschool families.
Come see the room, meet the coaches, and try The Breastplate (Homeschool Only) with zero pressure.
